Hello, my name is Jon
Hi! I’m a tutor at MoCo Academics, where I specialize in teaching General Studies, Math, and Reading/Writing. Currently, I’m an 8th grader at Pyle Middle School. My favorite subjects are Math and Science because I find them both challenging and fun! I currently have a 4.0 GPA in Middle School and have had consistent straight A's for the past two school years. At Pyle Middle School I am currently taking three high school classes two of them being advanced (Honors) high school classes. I’m really excited to work with you and help you reach your fullest potential.
My Story
I spent the first seven years of my life in Istanbul, Türkiye, which gave me the unique opportunity to become fluent in both Turkish and English. I’m also in the process of learning Spanish, which I find exciting as I expand my language skills.
Teaching is something I really enjoy. It’s fun and rewarding to help others learn and see their progress. While it might not be a lifelong passion, I appreciate the opportunity to support others in their learning journey. I truly enjoy working with younger kids and I hope I can be a part of your academic journey.
I have a lot of experience working with younger children. I often help my younger brother with his schoolwork, which has taught me how to be patient and explain things clearly. In addition, I have coached at a local tennis camp for young kids over multiple summers, where I learned how to keep children engaged, encourage them, and adapt my teaching style to fit different learning needs. These experiences have helped me develop strong communication and leadership skills when working with younger age groups.
Outside of academics, tennis is one of my biggest hobbies. I play five days a week and enjoy every minute of it. Competing in local tournaments has been an exciting part of my tennis experience, and I’ve been fortunate enough to win several competitions. The sport helps me stay active, focused, and motivated, and the lessons I learn from it are invaluable in many areas of life.
